Customer Service Executive - Container Transport
Location: Grays, Essex
Salary: Up to £35,000 per year + Bonus Scheme
Hours: Monday to Friday - Day Shifts Only

I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Executive to join a fast-paced transport team based in Grays, Essex. If you have a background in container logistics or transport customer service, this is a great opportunity to build your career with a stable and growing company.
Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day support to key container transport customers
* Manage and update bookings using TMS (Transport Management Systems)
* Handle port slot queries and updates using VBS (Vehicle Booking System)
* Use online shipping line portals to check container statuses and instructions
* Work closely with planners, drivers, and port contacts to resolve any service issues
* Keep customers informed of delivery schedules, changes, and delays
* Process container restitution updates and resolve any related queries
* Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience in customer service within container transport or logistics (essential)
* Strong working knowledge of VBS, TMS, and shipping line online portals
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
* Confident, proactive, and detail-oriented
