Health & Safety Manager

Salary
Basic of £50000 / £55,000 plus company car or car allowance. Hours of work are 40 per week Monday to Friday, 25 days holiday plus bank/public holidays, Company Pension scheme, Bonus Scheme, Healthcare & cash Plan.

Based in Cheshire, with regular travel to other office locations and client sites throughout the UK, this role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of major projects. About You
An experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor / Manager with 5 years construction experience. Must hold National General Certificate and NEBOSH Construction Certificate, (NVQ5 or diploma desired). Holds a valid CSCS

You will be ensuring the management teams of each project are working in accordance with UK Health and Safety regulations and implementing HSE best practices in accordance with the company s policies and procedures.
You will carry out and manage the health, safety and environmental processes, including risk assessments, method statements, internal audits and induction training
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and sharing lessons learned.
Attend and chair safety meetings
Assist the divisions from the preconstruction stage of a project to mitigate risk and assist with all legislative compliance for all contracts undertaken
Ensure workplace health, safety and environmental compliance, promoting a culture of safety through risk assessments, inspections
Help to build and embed a culture to ensure the group is a safe place to work and visit
Be responsible in planning, supporting the development of, and implementing robust HSE practices across sites.
Influence and challenge effectively to a variety of different stakeholders, to educate and deliver on the HSE agenda.
Mentor team members and support their professional development
Support ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001) and keep everything aligned
Communicates clearly and easily with everyone from site teams to senior management
Can positively influence others and encourage better, safer ways of working
Is comfortable working across multiple locations and juggling different priorities
Is always looking to learn and grow in their SHEQ career
Develop, review and update project and company risk assessments.
Construct and deliver highquality reports in relation to accidents and incidents (as required).
Issue monthly accident and incident statistics to the Delivery Team and Board members.
