Are you looking for an opportunity with on-the-job training? If so, now could be the ideal opportunity to join a great team with a strong focus on supporting individuals to maximize their potential.
You will work directly with local Councillors who lead and shape the borough by supporting the team with the operation of Council Committees, school appeals, and charities. The role is important in ensuring openness and transparency in local democracy.
We are on a fantastic journey, embracing technology to change the way we work whilst ensuring that decisions and traditions are upheld. While prior experience is advantageous, we highly value enthusiasm for local politics and a commitment to learning and personal growth within a supportive team environment.
The team is committed to providing you with the support, time, training, and guidance to learn and succeed. In time, you, like many of our previous appointments, could be ready to consider promotions into a Democratic Services Officer role. Your professional development is as important to us as it is to you.
In terms of working arrangements, we have a hybrid approach, working in the office when it is required.
This post is covered by the Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
