Overview
Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for a new temporary contract? Were hiring a proactive and self-motivated individual to join a busy team in the Shepton Mallet area. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on person to take on a key role.
Responsibilities
* Operate machinery for the safe transport of materials, stacking, and loading/unloading.
* Conduct pre-use checks and routine maintenance on the machine.
* Perform manual labor, including lifting up to 25kg and shoveling concrete.
* Assist with maintaining a clean and organized site.
About You
Were looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
Essential Requirements
* A valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
* Operate a counterbalance forklift for safe material transport, stacking, and loading/unloading.
* Previous experience in a quarry environment.
* Willingness to perform physically demanding manual labor.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and a good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
Details & Benefits
* Pay Rate: £13.56 per hour, with overtime at x1.5 (Monday-Saturday) and double pay on Sundays.
* Contract: An initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
* Hours: Full-time, 42.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM).
