Are you a technician tired of the corporate grind? We are looking for a standout Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic who takes real pride in their work. Based in Dorking, we are a premier, second-generation family-run specialist with over 60 years of history. We have the technical excellence of a main dealer but the heart (and the banter) of a cracking independent garage.

The Payload (Pay & Perks)

• Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 Basic (Depending on experience) + Performance Bonuses.
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm (Strictly no weekends).
• The Workshop: A massive, modern 800 sq/m facility with dealer-level diagnostic systems.
• Training: Ongoing technical development, including Hybrid and EV qualifications.

• Location: Dorking, perfectly placed for those in Reigate, Leatherhead, Guildford, or Horsham.

The Role: Specialist Work with Variety

While we are known as VAG Specialists (VW, Audi, SEAT, Skoda), we pride ourselves on a "can-do" attitude across all brands. You do not need previous VAG-specific experience to apply—we value all-round mechanical talent and provide the tools to help you excel.

• Specialist Repair: Complex servicing and diagnostics across the VW Group range and beyond.
• Advanced Tech: Using specialist tooling to identify and fix complex faults on a variety of vehicles.
• Versatility: Handling the wide range of makes and models that enter our 800 sq/m workshop.
• Quality Control: Maintaining a high "first-time fix" rate and taking real pride in your bay.
• Team Spirit: Contributing to a safe, clean, and positive workshop atmosphere.

Are You The One?

• Qualifications: You are a qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Skills: Strong all-round mechanical experience. Whether you've worked on German brands or general multi-make, we want to hear from you.
• Diagnostic Brain: You are confident with diagnostic software and mechanical problem-solving.
• Modern Ready: Knowledge of Hybrid/EV is a plus (but we will provide full training if not).
• Licence: You hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
• Vibe: You are professional, team-focused, and appreciate a workplace with a good sense of humor.
