The Role: Chef Manager
As Chef Manager, you will play a key role in enhancing residents daily lives through exceptional food and service. You will lead the catering function, ensuring quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing the catering team to deliver a high-quality, efficient service
* Recruiting, training, and developing team members to maintain high standards
* Planning innovative, nutritious menus tailored to residents needs and preferences
* Managing food ordering, stock control, and budgets effectively
* Ensuring excellent food presentation, portion control, and consistency
* Driving financial performance through cost control and operational efficiency
* Maintaining clear communication with both team members and residents
* Ensuring full compliance with food safety, COSHH, health & safety, and all relevant legislation
* Promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement

You will:

Essential/Desirable Requirements:
* City & Guilds 7061 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering (or equivalent)
* Ideally 4+ years experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, and kitchen management
