We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while contributing to the academic success of our students.
Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Psychology Graduate
Location: Accrington
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: Summer Term
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, other professionals and parents, ensuring to meet the needs of the children.
- Commit to the wider life of the school and the community of the school.
- Assist the class teacher with delivering lessons and sessions to small groups.
- Have an understanding of children’s needs so that interventions can be planned and delivered.
- Establish trusting relationships with pupils and interact with them in order to support their needs.
You will need:
- A Psychology degree.
- Experience working with children.
- A good understanding of safeguarding.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- A good understanding of children’s Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
