Tezlom, a leading recruitment agency established in 2008, is recruiting for a Chef based in a Nursing Home in Maidenhead, Berkshire- SL6 The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in kitchen operations and food preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will lead the catering staff, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while fostering a positive and efficient work environment. Duties * Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food production meets quality standards. * Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. * Adhering to our Residents' dietary requirements in a Care Home environment, such as low fat diets, soft food diets, allergens and cultural preferences to food. * Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices. * Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels. * Implement and maintain food safety protocols in accordance with health regulations. * Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. * Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times. * Monitor kitchen performance and provide feedback to team members for improvement. * Work in line with our Residents to ensure their preferences, choices for food are taken into consideration and applied at seasonal menus. Requirements * Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a nursing /care home/hospital or Nursery/school * Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety regulations. * Adhering to our Residents' dietary requirements in a Care Home environment, such as low fat diets, soft food diets, allergens and cultural preferences to food * Must be able to adhere to Dietary requirements of - vegetarian, vegan, gluten free * Must be confident with IDDSI level diets * Prepare English Cuisine * Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising and managing teams. * Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. * Chef: 2-3 year (preferred) Why Join Tezlom?
