Together we are Trusted to Serve Scotland. Business Analyst - Revenue (Fixed term / Secondment until May 2026) We're looking for a talented and motivated Business Analyst to join our Customer Revenue Billing Team âa team at the heart of transforming how we deliver innovative, user-focused billing solutions. In this role, youâll be instrumental in driving forward enhancements to our systems, particularly through hands-on engagement with cloud updates in our CCS platform. Your knowledge of finance, data, and process improvement will directly impact how our systems serve the business and our people. Itâs a chance to work on meaningful improvements, collaborate with skilled professionals from across Scottish Water, and develop your own expertise in a progressive, supportive environment. If you're someone who sees opportunity in every challenge and wants their work to be both valued and visible, youâll feel right at home here. Youâll play a key role in supporting User Acceptance Testing for our cloud updates. Working closely with stakeholders and IT, youâll help define test criteria, create test cases, and coordinate sessionsâdocumenting any issues and helping to ensure a smooth deployment. In financial operations, youâll bring your skills in ledger reconciliations and billing to ensure accuracy and integrity in CCS processes, investigating discrepancies and proposing corrective actions where needed. A big part of your day will involve identifying opportunities to improve and automate business processes. Youâll analyse workflows, design technical and procedural enhancements, and deliver solutions that align with our strategic goals. Acting as a crucial link between our business teams, IT, and project leads, youâll ensure everyoneâs requirements are clearly documented and understood. Your ability to explain complex concepts to different audiences will be invaluable, as will your support with training and user guidance. Quality assurance is also key. Youâll monitor the progress of UAT, track results and risks, and follow up on the impact of improvements post-implementation to ensure we continue delivering value. To thrive in this role, youâll bring solid financial acumen, particularly around accounting practices, reconciliations, and controls. Youâll need to be confident working with dataâable to hit the ground running even when unfamiliar with specific datasets. Youâll have advanced Excel skills, and ideally some experience with Power BI and Power Automate. Your analytical mindset will allow you to break down problems, pinpoint root causes, and communicate solutions clearly. Youâll be highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes. Youâll also be someone who enjoys working with others to bring about changeâcollaborative, inquisitive, and keen to keep learning. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a sharp eye for detail and a strong sense of ownership. Youâll take responsibility, seek out improvements, and always strive to make processes more effective. If youâre interested in this job, but donât tick all the boxes, apply anyway! We hardly ever hire people who can do every part of a job from Day One. Everyone has a learning curve. So donât rule yourself out!  Let us know if there are any changes we can make to our recruitment process to help you perform at your best. Lots of our people have disabilities or neurodiverse conditions (including some of our recruiters!). We're also aware that some people might be experiencing temporary challenges because of life events, like menopause. Weâre very used to making adjustments, so please donât be afraid to ask.  As part of our commitment to developing a flourishing Scotland, itâs important that all our employees are Scottish taxpayers. If you join us, your home address will need to be in Scotland. If you donât already live here, you'll need to commit to moving here within your first three months.  Finally (finally!), candidates who havenât submitted an application in the last 12 months will have their records removed from our recruitment database. You wonât need to do anything. Your data will be automatically deleted. Weâre here to help. Ask us anything at SWRecruitment@ScottishWater.co.uk Â
