This is a pivotal, 12-month contract role for a Finance Transformation Lead within the finance department in London. The position is crucial for our client, a telecommunications company that has recently moved into a growth phase. The successful candidate will be at the heart of the finance function's modernisation, driving strategic projects, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and change management across the global business. The role requires hybrid working, with three core office days.
Responsibility
The core responsibility is to drive the finance transformation journey. This includes:
* Leading and delivering all key finance transformation projects, from planning to completion.
* Identifying and implementing finance process improvements to enhance speed, accuracy, and value creation.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Technology, Data, Tax) to enhance finance systems, processes, and data.
* Managing key projects like improving revenue recognition, validating deferred revenue, and the ERP Phase II deployment (moving sales and stock to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)).
* Embedding robust change management practices, serving as a change champion, and developing training plans for new processes and tools.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a strong operational finance background and a proven record of transformation delivery. Key requirements include:
* Proven experience in finance transformation and finance operations, preferably within complex or growing organisations.
* Strong track record in leading change management initiatives, including planning, adoption, and stakeholder engagement.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other digital tools like Power BI.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
