About the Role
:
You will be responsible for delivering reactive repairs and maintenance across occupied social housing properties within the wider London and Essex patch.
1. Carrying out day-to-day repairs in occupied social housing properties
2. Completing carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and painting and decorating tasks
3. Diagnosing faults and identifying further repair requirements
4. Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
5. Working professionally and respectfully in residents’ homes, always delivering excellent customer service
6. Managing your own workload
7. Accurately recording job details and completion notes using a PDA
8. Maintaining a company vehicle in good working order
9. Working independently while contributing positively to the wider team
Key Criteria:
10. Proven experience in social housing repairs and maintenance
11. NVQ Level 2 in at least one core trade
12. Experience across at least three of the trades listed above
13. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
15. Excellent customer service and communication skills
16. Willingness to travel across Greater London and Essex
17. Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points
18. Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems
