About The Role
PwC has the UK's largest Local Public Services consultancy team, working with Councils, Housing Associations, Charities, and devolved Governments across the country. We are expanding our team within the Enterprise Transformation (ET) Consulting Practice, which focuses on transforming how Local Public Services organizations operate at an organizational level.
Our team helps clients adapt to changing demands in the public sector by leveraging evidence, organization-wide operating models, and technology, with a focus on functions such as Social Care and Housing.
We seek motivated individuals experienced in cost reduction, procurement, and operational improvements, preferably with a background in consulting or professional services. Passion for public service transformation and the ability to make a tangible impact are essential.
Responsibilities
* Deliver transformation programs as part of the LPS team.
* Manage multiple clients proactively, reporting to Senior Managers and above.
* Build effective relationships with clients.
* Develop your technical skills and those of your team.
* Stay informed on local and national economic issues.
* Engage in business development activities to identify new opportunities.
Focus Areas
Cost Reduction & Procurement
* Identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Design and implement procurement strategies.
* Lead contract management and supplier relationship programs.
Operational Improvement
* Review and improve operational efficiency.
* Drive process improvements and change management.
Digital Transformation
* Help clients reimagine procurement and commercial functions.
* Utilize data and technology for smarter services and savings.
* Embed digital tools into operations.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience in the public sector or supporting public sector clients in consultancy.
* Proven track record in transformation, cost savings, or procurement improvements.
* Ability to demonstrate measurable benefits achieved.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Familiarity with digital tools, data analytics, or emerging technologies like AI.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
