Job Title: Platform Engineering Manager
Location: Farnborough
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract
Rate: £700–£800 per day (Inside IR35)
Hours: 37.5 per week (3-4 days a week on-site)
Security Clearance: DV clearance required (must hold current DV)
The Opportunity :
We're looking for an experienced Platform / Environments Manager to lead environment management across a complex defence integration programme.
You’ll design and embed best practices for configuration control, CI / CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code within a highly secure, hybrid cloud environment.
Working within a SAFe Agile framework, you’ll coordinate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Network teams to ensure environments are stable, consistent, and audit-ready for supporting mission‑critical digital services.
The Role :
As Platform Manager, you’ll oversee the creation, control, and operation of development, test, and production environments across hybrid systems.
You will :
* Establish and manage environment configuration and control processes
* Support CI / CD pipelines and IaC deployment (Terraform, Ansible)
* Implement and enforce GitLab branching strategies and version control
* Maintain hybrid environments (AWS + on-prem) under strict change governance
