Role: School Receptionist / Administrator
Rate of pay: £ – £ per week
Location: Birmingham – Solihull
Full Time | Monday–Friday | 7:30am–4:15pm
**About the role**
Connex Education are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Receptionist/Administrator with experience working in a busy school environment to join a fantastic, friendly and supportive team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and can hit the ground running. The school specialises in supporting pupils with SEHM providing a dynamic, caring, and highly rewarding environment for both staff and students.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Managing front-of-house reception duties across school sites
2. Providing administrative support to the wider school team and Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
3. Building positive relationships with parents, staff, and visitors
4. Managing pupil attendance processes
5. Supporting safeguarding administration including DBS checks, vetting forms, letters of assurance, and reporting procedures
6. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring strong attention to detail in all administrative work
**Essential Skills and Experience**
7. Experience working within a school reception or administrative environment
8. Good working knowledge of:
9. Arbor
10. Sign In App systems
11. Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. Strong teamworking ability while also being able to work independently
14. A proactive approach and ability to use initiative
15. Understanding of school safeguarding procedures
16. Ability to manage a busy workload with strong organisational skills
