The Opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-driven Business Development Assistant to join our small but dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting our business development efforts and contributing to our continued growth.
Working closely with both our Business Development Manager and Company Director, you’ll help us identify new opportunities, build meaningful client relationships, and keep our sales pipeline running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with identifying, researching and qualifying new business leads
* Organise and maintain the CRM and business development pipeline
* Book and coordinate prospect meetings and discovery calls
* Support in preparing presentations and pitch materials
* Attend virtual and in-person meetings with prospects where needed
* Carry out follow-ups on warm leads and nurture relationships
* Maintain accurate records of outreach and outcomes
* Provide admin and organisational support across business development activities
* Contribute to sales strategy sessions and client proposal development
* Administrative and compliance tasks relating to new contracts and tendering
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
* Organised, proactive and great with follow-through
* A confident communicator, both in writing and on calls
* Tech-savvy with experience using CRM systems or similar tools
* Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
* Interested in sales, client relationships and business growth
* A team player who enjoys contributing to a collaborative culture
Essential Requirements
* Full UK working rights
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work in a hybrid model (a mix of home and office-based work near Falmouth, Cornwall)
* Some prior experience in business development, customer service, sales or admin roles
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google and online collaboration tools
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience with CRM software (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive)
* Familiarity with lead generation or outbound sales campaigns
* Interest in marketing, digital business or consultancy services
