We're expanding and are looking for an Junior Business Manager with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the music industry. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn and progress in the field of Business Management while studying towards ACA/ACCA, with a fully funded study package (including time off to attend courses and exams).
The duties will involve providing accurate accounting and assurance services to a diverse range of clients, as directed by the Manager, within budget and in accordance with firm procedures.
Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Inputting data using various software packages such as Sage, Excel, and QuickBooks Online
* Setting up bank payments
* Raising sales invoices
* Recording receipts and reconciling cash/credit card receipts
* Preparing VAT returns
* Assisting with periodic management accounts
* Assisting with the preparation and monitoring of cash flows and budgets
* Assisting in managing tour accounts for clients
* Analysing bank statements
* Maintaining client confidentiality at all times, in accordance with Sopher + Co HR Policies & Procedures
* Becoming familiar with, and working in accordance with, Sopher + Co HR Policies & Procedures
About you
You will be confident in working to a high standard, have excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to your work. Additionally, we'd like you to have/be:
* 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within an accountancy firm
* Competent using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
* Outstanding time management skills and ability to prioritise work
* Working towards a professional qualification (desired)
* Ideally hold either a relevant degree in accountancy, economics or similar subject
* Excellent work ethics and eagerness to learn
* Great attention to detail and organisational skills
* Self-motivated and be able to use their own initiative.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* A can-do attitude to problem-solving
