Maintenance Engineer
£40,000 per annum + benefits
Rotating shifts: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm (Mon–Fri)

Concept Recruitment is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a well-established food manufacturing business in Featherstone. This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term stability within a busy FMCG environment.
This position would suit a mechanically or electrically biased engineer with experience in manufacturing or packaging, looking for a stable Monday–Friday role with no nights.
The Role
You’ll play a key part in reducing downtime and supporting production through a mix of reactive and planned maintenance, working closely with production teams.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Planned and reactive maintenance on production and packing equipment
2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
3. Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
4. Carrying out machine adjustments, size changes, and set-ups
5. Completing PPMs and maintenance documentation
6. Supporting continuous improvement and occasional project work
7. Working safely at all times and following site procedures
What We’re Looking For
8. NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
9. Experience in FMCG, food, or packaging environments preferred
10. Comfortable working with mechanical and basic electrical systems
11. Experience with packaging machinery is advantageous (training provided)
12. Proactive mindset and strong fault-finding ability
13. Good communication and decision-making skills
