Location: Manchester and Liverpool Contract Type: Visiting Lecturer Worker Contract We are currently looking to expand our bank of Visiting Lecturers to join our academic team to teach across our Manchester and Liverpool Campus. Please note that we are open to applications for Manchester or Liverpool based only, along with the multicampus position. We are interested in hearing from qualified Solicitors and/or Barristers with Private Client experience, however, will also welcome applications from experienced Law Lecturers with Private Client teaching skills. This position suits individuals who wish to engage in academia alongside other professional or personal commitments, offering flexible scheduling and limited contact hours. There is the potential for a more regular teaching schedule should you wish for more working hours. You will enjoy being challenged (by students and course content in equal measure) and be able to adapt to the different learning styles of students and methods of course delivery. You will be eager to share your expertise, and the role will include marking in-course assignments and final assessments, as well as supporting students and dealing with queries. As a Visiting Lecturer you will: Teach and assess across The University of Law SQE and conversion courses. This will include teaching and assessing students across a range of written and presentation skills and giving individual feedback on students’ performances. We are looking for individuals who are/have: A qualified Solicitor and/or Barrister with practice experience Organised and can prioritise their own workload Confident and articulate presentation skills Punctual, good time management and prioritisation of workload Ability to work independently for short periods and as part of a team, whilst recognising when advice / input needs to be sought At The University of Law, you will work alongside other like-minded professionals who are passionate about driving innovation in higher education and delivering successful outcomes for our students.
