The main focuses for the Financial Crime Officer will be as follows:
* Support policies relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), PEPs, Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) and Sanctions.
* Assist in ensuring regulatory and legislative developments in financial crime are identified and required changes implemented.
* Advise the business day to day on policy application and interpretation e.g. Customer Due Diligence requirements, reviewing Onboarding risk assessment output.
* Work with the business on project work for any new products or product development,
* Maintain appropriate industry and specialist knowledge.
* Solve complex problems; take a new perspective on existing solutions
* Work independently receiving minimal guidance
* Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
* Act as a point of reference for the business in respect of AML, CDD, PEPs and Sanctions.
* Analyse more complex technical queries, delivering solutions where no current model exists.
* May have direct contact with clients and the authority to advise on Fin Crime matters.
* Assist the DMLRO in their AML responsibilities including acting as their nominate as and when necessary
The Financial Crime Officer should have:
* Strong work ethic and able to work on own initiative
* Report writing experience
* Ability to communicate at all levels
* Ability to multi task and prioritise
* Strong administrative skills
* Relevant industry qualifications (such as the ICA AML Certificate), or willingness to study
