One of our fantastic partner schools in Rochester is on the lookout for a resilient and inclusive LSA to join their team and make a real difference. You’ll be working 1:1 with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting those with a range of SEND needs who have EHCPs in place. This is a full-time role with long-term commitment, and for the right person, it could become a permanent position!
Contract: Full time – September start
What You’ll Be Doing (aka Your Superpowers):
* Supporting students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) to access learning and thrive
* Using scaffolding techniques to break down learning into manageable, confidence-boosting steps
* Championing inclusive practices that celebrate every learner’s unique strengths
* Building strong, positive communication with students, staff, and parents
* Creating a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment where everyone feels seen and heard
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people (bonus points if it’s in a school setting!)
* Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
* Training in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach
* A genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning
* Knowledge of EHCPs and how to support them in practice
* A team player with a great sense of humour and a heart of gold
