We are recruiting on behalf of a respected housing association for a Legal Assistant with a strong foundation in civil litigation and a passion for supportingmunities through effective legal practice.
Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing claim forms, pleadings, and witness statements for civil injunctions and possession claims in the County Court. Solid drafting skills are essential, as you’ll be expected to produce clear, persuasive legal documents that stand up to scrutiny. You’ll also provide legal advice to our internal client on a range of housing management issues, with a particular emphasis on anti-social behaviour cases.
Your work will involve liaising with barristers and external counsel, ensuring they are fully briefed and supported throughout the litigation process. Additionally, you’ll offer administrative support by preparing hearing and trial bundles, helping to ensure cases are well-organised and efficiently managed.
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for someone with excellent written and verbalmunication skills, strong organisational abilities, and the capacity to manage a varied caseload while meetingpeting deadlines. Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in a civil litigation environment, with exposure to civil drafting and a working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
