An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic, and enthusiastic Pharmacy Support Worker to join the Stores & Distribution team at Milton Keynes University Hospital. We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication and organisation skills who is dedicated to working as part of a team.
This role involves picking, packing, and receipting orders, stock rotation, and ward supply, including extended services. The role requires lifting and moving heavy items with appropriate training. Weekend & Bank Holiday working will be part of a roster.

Main duties of the job
* Perform pharmaceutical tasks appropriate to your knowledge and experience, supporting pharmaceutical services for patients and staff.
* Provide accurate and efficient supply services to the trust and external customers, ensuring product quality and compliance with MHRA standards.

Job responsibilities
* Stock shelves in pharmacy areas, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and correct expiry date usage (FEFO).
* Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
Wholesale activities include:
* Processing wholesale goods receipt, stock checks, and reconciliation.
* Checking products against purchase orders and annotating delivery paperwork.

Person Specification
Qualifications and knowledge
* GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C or above in English & Maths.
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
* Valid driving license.
Experience
* Experience in pharmacy or customer-focused service.
* Experience with formal procedures.
* Familiarity with JAC Pharmacy Computer System.
* Experience in picking and packing orders for dispatch.
Skills
* Attention to detail and good numerical skills.
* Ability to complete Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills.
* Flexibility, prioritisation, and efficiency.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work safely under pressure independently.
