Here at Doncasters we specialise in turning metals into motion, working with household names such as Rolls Royce and Airbus, we are looking for an experienced Melter to help us continue our Journey. Based in our site in Killamarsh, Sheffield.
Our Melting team work one week of 6.00am to 2.00pm, one week of 10.00pm to 6.00am and one week of 2.00pm to 10.00pm.

The Role
In this role you will work flexibly, according to your skills and experience with full training given for any task on which you are deployed. If you are deployed into our melting team then you will be responsible for mould building, furnace preparation, melting and pot building. These roles involve carrying out all duties in a safe and efficient manner and contributing towards Ross & Catherall’s quality and delivery targets. Individuals will be expected to maintain excellent standards of housekeeping, bring any safety or quality concerns to the attention of their manager and ensure an effective handover between shifts.

* Furthermore, you will have a high level of attention to detail, with a drive and enthusiasm for learning new skills and an ability to absorb information quickly, reliably, and effectively.
* Experience in operating forklift truck and overhead cranes is preferred but this is not essential as full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
