We are currently recruiting for an experienced Automated Gates & Barriers Service Engineer to join a well-established company based in Berkshire. This is a field-based role focusing on the servicing, maintenance, and repair of automated gate and barrier systems across customer sites covering Berkshire and surrounding counties.
The successful candidate will have strong fault-finding skills, experience working with automated access systems, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while representing the company on-site.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance of automated gates and barrier systems
* Fault finding and carrying out repairs
* Planned servicing and preventative maintenance
* Responding to breakdowns and conducting on-site troubleshooting
* Completing and maintaining accurate service and maintenance reports
* Carrying out force testing and risk assessments
* Customer handover and demonstrations following installation or repair
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards
Ideal Candidate
* Ideally 5+ years’ experience working with automated gates, barriers, or access control systems
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
* Ability to work independently in a field-based role
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
* Full UK driving licence

* Salary £38,000 – £42,000 depending on experience
