Management Accountant | Brigg | Permanent Opportunity Your new company A well-established and growing organisation is seeking a capable and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join its evolving finance team. This is a brand-new role within this business, created to support the company’s continued growth and to strengthen its financial leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, alongside insightful operational analysis to support strategic decision-making across multiple business divisions. Your new role This will be a busy and hands-on position, ideal for someone with a strong background in the manufacturing industry. Our client is seeking a Management Accountant who has a solid understanding of costing, materials, and production processes. Take full ownership of monthly management accounts, including the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Produce and enhance management reports to support business performance, including detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts. Carry out profitability analysis across departments, services, and projects to support strategic planning and decision-making. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining systems and processes to align with business goals. Oversee stock control methodologies across the group, identifying slow-moving items and ensuring optimal inventory benchmarks. Implement effective cost-control measures, ensuring accurate allocation, authorisation, and clear communication with budget holders. Work closely with operational teams to explain variances in material usage and labour efficiency on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. What you'll need to succeed Fully or partially qualified in CIMA, or possessing equivalent hands-on experience in a finance role. Background in management accounting, within a manufacturing or production-focused environment. Skilled in financial analysis and modelling, with strong Excel capabilities and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP. Solid grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively. Clear and confident communicator, able to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights for non-finance colleagues. Highly analytical and detail-focused, with a proactive approach to solving problems. Comfortable managing multiple priorities independently, while also contributing positively to team collaboration.
