Vertu Hyundai Edinburgh An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Vertu Hyundai Edinburgh as an Assistant Accountant. This role would be ideal for an Accounting graduate or someone with one to two years’ experience in an accounts environment, as well as for a more experienced Assistant Accountant looking to take the next step in their career. Extensive on‑the‑job training will be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and progress within a supportive finance team. You’ll work closely with our Accountant across both of our Hyundai sites in Edinburgh, with the flexibility to be based at either our Sighthill or Seafield dealership. This is a full‑time, permanent position, offering a basic salary between £27,000 and £30,000, depending on experience, plus an excellent range of company benefits. You will work alongside the Accountant in the production of spreadsheets and statistical data to support the management team and aid business decision‑making. Alongside day‑to‑day accounts duties, you will also be involved in: Forecasts Estimates Assisting with the production of Management Accounts Payroll Balance sheet reconciliations Accruals and prepayments Cash flow Reconciling manufacturer bonuses Credit control The ideal candidate may be an experienced Assistant Accountant or an ambitious graduate / early‑career accounts professional who is keen to learn and develop. A working knowledge of the Kerridge accounting system and previous Motor Trade experience would be advantageous but are not essential, as full training will be provided. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non‑financial colleagues, as well as clients and customers.
