Service Controller

As a Service Controller, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing resources to meet customer needs efficiently while maintaining our high standards of service delivery. Customer Engagement:
Understand and respond to customer requests, prioritizing their needs and allocating resources effectively. Job Management:
Plan and oversee jobs to maximize engineer productivity, ensuring timely resolutions that benefit both Finning and our customers. Work Order Accuracy:
Open and close work orders with precision to enhance billing accuracy and identify opportunities for safety and service improvements. Team Leadership:
Directly manage a team of 4-8 engineers, providing mentorship and addressing performance issues to ensure high customer satisfaction. System Updates:
Keep all systems up-to-date with accurate job information and trial data. What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build lasting relationships. Excellent planning and organizational abilities. Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and good IT skills. A collaborative team player. Knowledge Requirements
Understanding of Gas & Diesel Engine products and engine/fuel control systems. Familiarity with DBSi systems and parts identification through manuals. Experience with warranty and commissioning processes. Accountability
Keep customers informed of job progress, ensuring commitments are met. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Maximize customer revenue and control service expenses. Manage approximately 100 work orders valued at around £300k per month. Qualifications
Apprentice-trained engineer with at least 5 years of experience. Experience in customer contact and major repair work planning. Problem diagnostic experience in both customer and engineer contexts. Experience in the pleasure boat industry is a plus. Working Environment
This is an office-based role with a flexible working pattern between 7 am – 6 pm on weekdays, and potential Saturday work as needed. You will be responsible for planning and dispatching approximately 25 regional field engineers. Why Choose Finning?
