Job Title: Asset Integrator

Location: Chichester

Salary: up to £46,400 depending on skills and experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to support the Asset Integration and Handover Manager in delivering technical and practical support across our Capital projects. This is a key role that ensures all projects are designed, constructed, commissioned, and handed over in alignment with processes and procedures, while fostering a streamlined, collaborative approach with Operations.

Asset Integration plays a crucial role in our Engineering Department by ensuring that new assets delivered by project teams are smoothly transitioned into maintenance and operations. The role will focus on ensuring that assets meet business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational standards while maximising the benefits for Southern Water. You will ensure that all assets are defect-free, properly documented, and that operational and maintenance personnel are fully trained.

Responsibilities will include:

* Provide technical input to Project Managers and Design teams, influencing designs with regard to operability, maintainability, health and safety, system integration, and compliance.
* Collaborate with ETS, Delivery teams, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to offer support and advice related to commissioning and handover.
* Ensure all parties adhere to a set of common processes and procedures for the management of commissioning and handover within Construction.
* Oversee document control and quality assurance, ensuring all relevant manuals, certifications, and asset data are completed before handover.
* Maintain accurate records of construction and process defects, ensuring that any issues are promptly addressed with the Project Manager and Design teams.
* Review and audit the effectiveness of operator, maintenance, and ICA training, ensuring compliance with H&S requirements and proper documentation.
* Review and agree on takeover test documentation, and manage the defect register throughout the test and post-test periods.
* Liaise with contractors to ensure the timely submission of H&S and SCO documents, ensuring that all audits and H&S visits are completed.

About You

* Background in technical support, project management, or engineering would be highly beneficial.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
* Driving licence to attend site visits
* Understanding of Health and Safety best practice
