Job Description
We are looking for a professional engineer who can work independently, respond effectively to reactive tasks, and provide a reliable presence on client sites.
This role also includes supporting wider building services tasks across fabric, HVAC, and mechanical systems as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out electrical and building services maintenance across multiple client sites within the region.
2. Undertake electrical fault finding, repairs, maintenance and installation works.
3. Complete electrical PPM, proactive and reactive tasks issued via the helpdesk within required SLAs.
4. Support additional building services maintenance including fabric, HVAC, mechanical and related duties.
5. Provide callout response in line with the client callout rota.
6. Undertake contractor control duties, including monitoring workmanship and issuing Permits to Work.
7. Ensure all electrical equipment operates to required performance criteria.
8. Maintain equipment and surrounding areas to agreed company standards.
9. Represent the company professionally to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
10. Significant previous experience in providing reactive and
11. PPM building services maintenance.
12. Experience of working within FM or building services within commercial properties.
13. NVQ 2356 / 2357 and NVQ 2356 AM2, OR
14. City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation, OR
15. AM1 and AM2, OR
16. City & Guilds 236/2360 Part 1 & 2, AND
17. 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
18. Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
19. Recognised electrical apprenticeship.
20. City & Guilds 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing).
21. JIB Accreditation.
22. IPAF / PASMA.
Additional Information: Stability & Predictability
23. Fixed working hours (Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00) with a clear overtime structure.
24. Consistent workload, including scheduled PPMs and reactive tasks.
25. Long-term contracts on government sites, offering strong job security.
26. On-call rota of approximately 1 in 9/10, with £150 standby allowance.
