Key duties and responsibilities
* Customer service: Greet and welcome guests, build rapport, offer menu recommendations, and answer questions to ensure a pleasant and engaging experience.
* Order taking and delivery: Take food and beverage orders accurately, relay them to the bartender or kitchen staff, and deliver items promptly.
* Menu knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the drink and food menu, including ingredients, specials, and pairing suggestions, to assist guests with their choices.
* Payment processing: Handle customer transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit payments, using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
* Table maintenance: Clear tables of used glasses, plates, and trash and ensure tables and dining areas are kept clean and organized.
* Side work and stocking: Assist with opening and closing duties, such as restocking napkins, glasses, and other supplies, and preparing garnishes.
* Problem-solving: Address customer feedback and complaints professionally and discreetly, escalating issues to management when necessary.
* Teamwork: Collaborate with bartenders, bar backs, and other staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service, especially during peak hours.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £10.00-£12.30 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
