The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead the development and delivery of green hydrogen production and utilisation projects from concept through to commissioning. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage key stakeholder relationships, and ensure that every project is delivered to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Independently manage multiple green hydrogen projects across all lifecycle phases
* Lead engagement with stakeholders including regulators, OEMs, suppliers, and government bodies
* Oversee internal and external resources to progress planning, permitting, construction, and delivery
* Apply established project management methodologies to control schedule, cost, and quality
* Provide regular updates to internal teams and clients on progress, risks, and outcomes
* Contribute to funding applications and public-sector engagement
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hydrogen technologies and market trends
Essential skills and experience:
* Several years of project management experience, ideally in energy, infrastructure, or construction
* Strong grasp of project delivery from concept to commissioning
* Experience in stakeholder engagement, commercial negotiation, and contractor management
* Familiarity with recognised PM methodologies (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, PMP)
* Excellent communication, organisational, and risk management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Project and the wider Office suite
Desirable:
* Background in renewable energy, particularly wind, solar, hydrogen, or fuel cells
* Experience reviewing technical scopes and deliverables
* Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in engineering, science, or a related discipline
