About the Role
A welcoming mainstream primary school in Streatham, Lambeth is seeking an experienced One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with high needs on Fridays. This is a targeted support role within a general classroom setting, with no on-site specialist provision.
As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will provide consistent, structured support throughout the school day. The pupil benefits from clear routines, calm adult guidance, and individualised learning tasks. During PE lessons, the pupil typically works on a personalised programme outside of the main group, supported by you.
The school has a fantastic, supportive staff team and is keen to offer additional supply TA days during the week to the successful candidate where availability allows.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is specifically looking for a One-to-One Teaching Assistant who:
Has previous experience in a similar one-to-one SEN role
Is confident supporting pupils with high needs in a mainstream setting
Can adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
Is calm, patient, and consistent in their approach
Is comfortable supporting individual work during PE sessions
