Health Care Assistant - Refugee and Asylum Seeker Service
Working under the direct supervision of the Lead Nurse and strictly inaccordance with specific guidelines and protocols, the Healthcare Assistantwill assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribedprogrammes of patient care. This is a 12 month fixed term contract until December 2026.

Job responsibilities
* Working alongside clinicians in the Equity and Refugee andAsylum Seeker Service to deliver health checks and vaccinations
* Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
* Ordering of consumables and equipment maintanence
* Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patientshealth and well-being
* Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being andhow it can be promoted
* Assisting with the collection and collation of data onneeds related to health and well-being
* Supporting patient communication which may includeappointment bookings and telephone contact with patients
* Administrative duties for the set up of clinics on site atCrowborough

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working collaboratively with other agencies
* Experience of working with individuals in a health promotion role
* Experience of managing own time and diary
* Previous experience of working in a Primary Care Setting
* Previous experience of working in an acute setting
Skills and Knowledge
* Able to undertake supervised assessment of individuals, families and the community
* Able to prioritise and manage time effectively
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Computer literacy skills/ input of data
* Effective documentation and compliance with IG
* Competent in recording 12-Lead ECGs
* Experience of working with Clinical Systems (EMIS or SystemOne)
Qualifications
* Care Certificate
* GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English
* Must hold a valid UK driving license
* Evidence of ongoing learning
