An SEMH School within the Blackpool area are looking for a Teaching Assistant! * Location: Blackpool area, * Salary: £90-£115.89 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. * Contract Type: Initially long-term, with potential for a permanent position. * Start Date: As soon as possible Tradewind are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work within an Ofsted-rated 'Good' SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Blackpool area. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment for students aged 6 -16 who face emotional and behavioural challenges. We are committed to helping each student achieve their full potential through personalised support and tailored interventions About the Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will: * Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs. * Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies. * Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour. * Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. * Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO. * Promote the overall well-being of students and contribute to their personal development What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: * Experience working with students who have SEMH or other behavioural needs. * Strong knowledge of SEMH and proven strategies for supporting students. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * A patient, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. * Experience in implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions. * A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable. * Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
