The Role
We are on the lookout for a qualified and passionate Social Worker to join our Orange Grove Fostercare Northwest team. If you are enthusiastic, committed, and appreciate the vital role of foster parents, we want to hear from you!
In this dynamic position, you will:
* Collaborate closely with foster parents to ensure meaningful supervision of placements.
* Maintain high standards through quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.
* Recruit, train, and supervise foster parents while promoting the welfare of children placed with us.
Requirements
* Hold a Social Work England qualification in Social Work or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
* Experience in fostering is essential.
* Comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Commitment to high-quality practice, including occasional work after 5 PM and on weekends.
* Participation in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region (phone contact/sign posting).
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases/systems.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
* Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Work in partnership with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in meetings and decision-making.
* Hold a full driving licence and have unrestricted access to your own vehicle.
* Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Orange Grove Fostercare).
