About The Organisation
National Services Scotland (NSS) is a national NHS Board operating at the heart of NHS Scotland, providing support and advice at strategic and operational levels. NSS aims to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness, offering shared services on a national scale through best-in-class systems and standards. Our primary goal is to improve the health and well-being of the people of Scotland by partnering across Health and Social Care to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose solutions that enable stakeholders to re-invest resources into essential services.
The decontamination agenda addresses key aspects of public health, focusing on controlling and preventing Healthcare Associated Infections and the transmission of vCJD.
NHS Scotland Assure (NHSSA), a division of NSS, leads in decontamination efforts and collaborates with various health authorities and departments across the UK.
