Role Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK. This 12‑month ST4 LAT in General Adult Psychiatry is full‑time and fixed‑term.
Placement Details
Based in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, the placement hospital may include Stobhill, Gartnavel, Leverndale hospitals and associated community resource centres. Exact placement will be confirmed following appointment.
Documented competencies achieved through LAT posts can count towards CCT if subsequently appointed to a General Adult Specialty Training Programme.
Responsibilities
* See a variety of clinical work including MHA work to meet ST4 capabilities in general adult psychiatry.
* Develop as a senior medic in the wider multidisciplinary team.
* Engage in quality improvement activity, research and special interest activities and participate in the West of Scotland regional teaching programme.
* Attend on‑call duties on either the North or South GGC on‑call rota and court liaison on‑call rota.
* Work alongside a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry who will provide weekly supervision, complete WBPA’s and ARCP forms.
Qualifications
To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a license to practice.
