Then, this is the role for you Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a QHSE Advisor to join our team in our Convenience & Foods Services business unit. As a QHSE Advisor, reporting to the Head of Health & Safety for the Convenience and Foods (CFS) Business Unit, you will provide support to the southern locations across the UK and lend support to your counterpart in the North when required. You will provide support to sites in achieving its objectives and ensure all safety processes and systems are always followed and adhered to by all employees, promoting a safe working environment and a positive Health and Safety culture. This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday Friday 9:00-17:00. However, when required, flexibility is needed to support the 24/7 function of the sites. As this is a regional role, we are flexible on where you are based to cover the South of the UK. Youll also have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more What youll do on a typical day: Support the site QHSE Manager/Leads in ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental matters are dealt with quickly, efficiently and in line with legislation and best practice Review and create risk assessments and safe systems of work for all tasks carried out within the warehouse Support any QHSE meetings at sites, ensuring all related stats and KPIs are fully accurate and up to date Champion the Health and Safety function throughout the sites and wider network, identifying opportunities to share best practise and discuss common issues or challenges What you need to succeed at GXO: Have a NEBOSH and HACCP qualification or equivalent. Previous experience in an operationally focused, Health and Safety role, ideally in a food environment The ability to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels along with a results and success-driven approach focusing on identifying and sharing best practice Legionella Awareness and experience in Transport & Logistics, would be a bonus but not essential We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
