The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our Planning team at Walkers Deli Co. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting business objectives by effectively planning and scheduling production to meet customer demand in the most cost-efficient manner.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive production plans and master schedules, considering product specifications, production capacities, and inventory targets.
* Monitor inventory levels to balance demand and minimize excess stock.
* Analyse production performance metrics and adjust plans to improve efficiency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, logistics, and sales to ensure alignment.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and reduce costs.
The Ideal Candidate

* Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths & English) and 2 A Levels or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of planning fundamentals; experience in food industry desirable.
* Highly numerate and computer literate; experience with Preactor, WMS, System 21, AX Dynamics preferred.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work flexibly with a positive attitude.
