£36,650 - £39,032 per annum– the band minimum is the normal starting pay for those new to a role. In exceptional circumstances, when relevant skills and experience can be identified, a higher starting salary may be considered.

British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is looking for an exceptional Science Support Manager to join our ReDs. BAS delivers and enables world-leading interdisciplinary research in the Polar Regions. We employ experts from many different professions to carry out our Science as well as keep the lights on, feed the research and support teams and keep everyone safe!

Some of your main responsibilities will include:
* Lead the Science Support Office, ensuring effective distribution of responsibilities and continuous improvement of service delivery
* Oversee coordination of events, meetings, seminars and conferences within BAS
* Support the Contracts and Licensing Manager in distributing research grant contracts and collating responses
For the role of Science Support Manager, we are looking for somebody who has:
* Experience managing administrative team(s) or functions
* Proven ability to implement improvement or transformation initiatives
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks
