Welfare Advisor
Are you passionate about supporting students and helping them navigate university life? If so, we are looking for a dedicated and approachable Welfare Advisor to join our Students' Union Advice Centre team.
The Role
In this pivotal role, you'll provide guidance on a wide range of academic, financial, housing, and welfare issues, ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive at university. You will work with healthcare students at our Uxbridge campus, offering one-to-one advice, tailored support, and advocacy when needed. Your work will include supporting financial hardship applications, providing budgeting advice, and informing students about academic processes and university regulations, making a real difference to their university experience.

Qualifications and Experience
* Good general education to degree level or equivalent
* Qualification in representation, advocacy, or advisory area
* Recent advice work experience (paid or voluntary)
* Awareness of current issues facing students
* Knowledge of Higher Education and university regulations, especially academic
* Experience working with diverse groups

Salary: Grade E: £29,588 - £33,002 + London Allowance
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (37 hours/week, Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4.30pm) with occasional flexibility
