We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our clients Children's Residential team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting the Registered Manager in ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with regulations.Key responsibilities:Assist the Registered Manager in daily operationsLead, supervise, and develop a team of Residential Care WorkersEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including safeguarding policies and Ofsted standardsSupport young people in their personal development, emotional well-being and independenceManage and monitor care plans to ensure effective support tailored to individual needsShift leading, including participating in an on-call rota when requiredLiaise with external agencies to include Social Workers, families promoting the best interests of children and young peopleHandle safeguarding concerns and incidents with professionalism and diligenceSupporting the Manager to ensure the home operates within budgetary and financial guidelinesSkills and ExperienceMinimum Level 3 or equivalent in Residential ChildcareAt least 2 years experience of working in a children's residential settingExperience in supervisoryor team-leading roleKnowledge of safeguarding, child protection and Ofsted regulationsLeadership, communication and organisational skillsAbility to work flexibly, including, evenings, weekends, and on-call dutiesA commitment to continuous professional development and improvement of care standardsLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Mangement for Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards itExperience of working with children who have experienced trauma, abuse or challenging behaviours.Working Hours:Full-time with flexibility to work across a 7 day period including weekends and holidays.In return our client can offer an excellent basic salary, benefits and ongoing personal development.TPBN1_UKTJ
