At Prenton Vets4Pets we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our lovely team. The practice is looking for a full-time vet to work alongside an established team of 4 Vets, 4 RVN’s, 1 SVN and non-clinical team of 4. We are a well-established small animal practice, which has been purpose built to market leading standards. To enhance our practice further it is very well equipped with toys including Digital x-ray and processor, colour Doppler ultrasound with ECG, diathermy, dental radiography and ultrasonic dental descaler with air drill. Giving you all the equipment you need to provide the best care for your patients.

Prenton itself is a small suburb in the Wirral Peninsula of England that falls under the jurisdiction of Birkenhead, Merseyside, it’s also part of Cheshire County. Prenton is a very sought after and attractive place to settle down It boasts great schools and affordable homes with excellent transport systems.
Prenton also benefits from being close to Liverpool which is a diverse metropolis with all the characteristics of any major European City. It has a cosmopolitan culture and good local amenities while retaining the benefits of its relatively smaller size. It is also situated close to the historic city of Chester and the countryside of North Wales. The cost of living is very attractive, especially for those keen to step on the property ladder, since residents enjoy a standard of living that would ordinarily require a typically larger salary.
The role:
As a growing practice we are always interested in hearing from local talent interested in working with us. If you are an experienced vet looking to progress your career we can support further study to certificate level.
To maintain your work life balance and enjoy everything this part of the UK has to offer we can offer an average 37 hour week and a 1 in 5 Saturday morning only weekend rota with no OOH. Prenton is a well organised, popular first opinion practice with a large following and a varied and interesting caseload.
Ideally the successful candidate will be an experienced vet with a growth mind-set, the capability to work sole charge and have the ability to complete both consults and surgeries.
We offer a competitive salary between £45,000 and £60,000 (DOE) and a generous benefits package that you would expect from a major veterinary employer. In addition to this we can offer you a sign on bonus* on joining us and a further payment on passing your probationary period.
