Job Title: Intensive Needs Support Coach
Location: Rochester, Medway (11 min walk from Rochester Station or buses 191, 133, 140, 700 to Star Hill Stop F)
Shift Pattern: 12-month fixed term contract, rolling dependent on extension. 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. Hours may be flexible and outside these times as per service needs.
About the role
We seek a dynamic, self-motivated Intensive Needs Support Coach for the Rough Sleeper Initiative Project. You will provide practical and personal support to residents, helping them become more resilient and independent, especially those with complex needs and a history of homelessness and rough sleeping. Your responsibilities include supporting engagement, running activities, and developing safety and support plans.
About you
You should be passionate about supporting individuals facing disadvantages, with understanding of homelessness and complex needs, including substance use and mental health. Resilience, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Experience working directly with homeless individuals, building rapport, and demonstrating compassionate practices are required. IT proficiency and alignment with our values of Ambition, Empowerment, Inclusivity, and Transparency are also important.

* Ability to build positive relationships with residents, including those challenging behaviors and substance use challenges

* IT skills, including basic Microsoft Office proficiency
