Castle Hill is looking for an Assistant Banquet Director to join the team.

About the Position: The Assistant Banquet Director supports the Banquet Director in all aspects of catered event operations across Castle Hill Inn and The Bohlin. This role ensures seamless execution of events, staff coordination, and adherence to brand standards. The Assistant Banquet Director plays a pivotal role in service delivery, guest satisfaction, and departmental efficiency while serving as a liaison between frontline banquet staff and senior leadership.

Essential Duties:
On-site lead overseeing daily banquet operations, ensuring all events are executed to the highest standard.
Support in scheduling, staffing, and labor cost management for all events.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of banquet team members in accordance with CHI operating standards.
Maintain detailed records of event execution, labor usage, and inventory; provide summaries to the Banquet Director.
Ensure compliance with CHI's brand, service, and purchasing standards across all banquet operations.
Conduct regular walk-throughs of event spaces to ensure readiness, cleanliness, and proper setup.
Collaborate closely with culinary, facilities, and sales departments to ensure efficient event coordination.
Lead pre-event briefings with staff to reinforce expectations and provide feedback.
Actively support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at elevating the guest experience.
Step into leadership of banquet operations in the absence of the Banquet Director.

QualificationsQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in high-volume catering or banquet leadership roles.
Proven track record of team leadership in hospitality settings.
Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
Skills & Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds
Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships
