An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intelligence Analyst to join our Research and Analysis (R&A) team in theSouth EastRegional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).

The SIU is a fascinating and exciting place to work. The department is a unique function withSouth EastPolicing, providing intelligence support to operations in Force, ROCU and across partners. The department support operations in the highest harm and threat areas, exploiting and enhancing intelligence from multiple sensitive data sources to problem solve and maximise enforcement opportunities.

The overall purpose of the role is to provide high level analytical support to senior operational police officers toassistin the prevention, targeting, disruption and detection of crime. As an analyst you will use analytical techniques to create intelligence products that inform relevant strategic and tactical planning to the standard defined within the National Intelligence Model.

You will provide an efficient and effective service to support managerial,operationaland investigative decision making. You will make recommendations to drive business activity and assess threat harm and risk. Due to the high harm and threat the SIUoperatein, the department can often be an exhilarating andfast movingworking environment. We work with innovative technology and constantly evolve to keep up with the ever-growing complexity and sophistication of organised crime.

To perform your job well you will need to map out the full intelligence picture clearly and conciselyin order forinvestigative teams to direct their time and resources effectively;ultimately disruptingcrime and safeguard the vulnerable. If you have a strong analytical mind set and sharp attention to detail, we would be pleased to receive your application.

For this role youare required tohave advanced IT skills (including the use of Excel), proven research skills with the ability to problem solve, and experience producing analytical reports using communications data. Candidates should be confident towork independently,at pace and under pressurein order tosupport operational needs.

Due to the nature of this role, you must be willing to work in the office full-time, with the ability to join an on-call rota when you are confident in post.

You will be asked todemonstrateflexibilityregardingworking hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For thisreasona full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass andmaintainvetting level DV together witha number ofenhanced security checks. I n order toachieve this, you must be a British National and haveresidedin the UK for the past ten years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), andstudying abroad. Please be aware that, if successful, there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries once in post

Please note candidates must also be willing to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) in the future.In order toachieve this, you must haveresidedin the UK for the past 10 years.
