We are looking for an experienced BI & Data Engineering Lead to establish and develop a robust, automated reporting capability that supports data-led decision-making across the organisation.
This role will take ownership of business intelligence solutions built primarily in Power BI, integrating data from a wide range of systems and formats. Working closely with managers and senior stakeholders, you will translate information needs into clear, accurate, and accessible reporting while championing best practice in data quality, documentation, and governance.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Designing and delivering automated Power BI dashboards and reports used by managers and senior leaders
* Building reliable data models that combine information from spreadsheets, APIs, and structured data sources
* Improving data quality and consistency by identifying issues and working with teams to address them at source
* Documenting data flows, reporting logic, and business processes to support long-term organisational knowledge
* Acting as a trusted data expert, advising stakeholders on reporting approaches and visualisation techniques
* Supporting colleagues through training, guidance, and clear documentation to improve data confidence
* Contributing to wider digital and data transformation initiatives alongside the technology team
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience delivering BI solutions using Power BI, including DAX and data modelling
* Proven ability to integrate and work with data from APIs, Excel, CSV, and JSON sources
* Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions
* Excellent understanding of data analysis, reporting design, and visualisation best practice

* Confident communicator, able to explain technical concepts in clear, non-technical language
* Experience working independently and managing priorities effectively
* Confident using Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
Desirable
* Experience with data governance, standards, or quality frameworks
* Exposure to modern data platforms such as Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks
* Scripting or analytical experience using Python or R
* Experience supporting organisations moving away from manual or spreadsheet-driven reporting
