We are seeking a Waking Nights Support Worker to join a 3-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
The role is essential in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and stability of the home throughout the night. You will provide a calm, reassuring presence, support young people who may struggle to settle, and respond appropriately to any incidents or safeguarding concerns, in line with policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe, secure, and supportive environment during night hours
*
Carry out regular checks in line with care plans and risk assessments
*
Support young people with nighttime routines, emotional reassurance, and de-escalation when required
*
Accurately record night-time observations, incidents, and handovers
*
Complete domestic and administrative tasks to support the running of the home
*
Follow safeguarding procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with EBD or complex needs (desirable)
*
A calm, vigilant, and resilient approach
*
Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
*
Ability to work waking night shifts
