Responsible Individual / Operations Manager
Pay: £65,000-£70,000 (flexible depending on experience)
Location: Darlington
Our client, a small but ambitious care organisation in the North East, is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join their team as a Responsible Individual/Operations Manager. This pivotal role sits between the Board of Directors and the Registered Managers of both an Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) and a Children's Residential Home.
You will work closely with the Director, overseeing day-to-day operations of both services. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where your input and expertise will directly shape the organisation's future.

Responsibilities:
Oversee and support the Registered Managers of both the IFA and Children's Residential Home
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (Ofsted) and uphold the organisation's model of care
Provide guidance, supervision, and empowerment to managers to help them deliver the highest quality outcomes for children and young people
Contribute to service development, including playing a key role in the service's expansion plans
Maintain strong working relationships with foster carers, staff, and external stakeholders
Oversee the day to day operations of both services
Requirements:
Strong management/leadership experience within children's social care (IFA, residential, or related setting)
Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to empower and support managers
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, policies and procedures
A values-driven approach, aligned with the organisation's ethos and model of care
Flexibility to travel to the children's home and head office as required
