Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable finance professional to contribute to the effective management of the purchase-to-pay cycle within a fast-growing, multi-entity organisation operating across the UK. The business has experienced significant expansion in recent years, supported by private investment and a focus on operational scalability.
This role plays a key part in ensuring financial integrity, supporting operational efficiency, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Working as part of a collaborative finance function, you will have exposure to both established processes and ongoing improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the end-to-end processing of supplier invoices, ensuring alignment with internal controls and evolving business requirements
* Act as a key point of contact for supplier and internal queries, facilitating timely and effective resolution across multiple departments
* Contribute to the accuracy and completeness of financial records, supporting month-end close and management reporting activities
* Support payment processes across multiple entities and currencies, ensuring obligations are met in line with agreed terms and cash flow considerations
* Identify and address discrepancies, exceptions, or inefficiencies within existing processes, escalating where appropriate
* Collaborate cross-functionally (including procurement, operations, and finance) to enhance workflows and support ongoing system and process improvements
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or a similar finance function, ideally within a multi-entity or high-volume environment
* Strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and ERP systems
* High level of attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
* Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders across different functions and levels of seniority
* Proactive approach to problem-solving, with an interest in improving processes and systems
